Forum Purpose: The MetroAmp forum exists so we can share information, make friends, build amps, create a knowledge base, preserve vintage amps, and make music. You agree to participate in a positive manner and contribute to a pleasant community.
Conduct: Treat your fellow forum users and administrators with respect. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting. We are not here to win arguments, pick fights, get offended, or create bad vibes.
Dealing With Problems: Please don't take matters into your own hands. If someone posts something that offends you or attacks you, don't respond to them. Just drop the issue and hit the little exclamation point below their post to report it to the moderators.
One Account Per Person: You are only permitted one account on the forum. Duplicate accounts will be deleted along with the original account.
Member Classifieds: All members are permitted to sell a personal quantity of music-related items in the Member Classifieds forum. We ask that you list multiple items in a single for sale thread. Please see that forum for detailed rules on selling.
Business Owners: If you would like to promote a music gear-related business on the forum by selling items or posting links to your site, you will need to purchase an Advertiser Subscription. This includes individuals selling in bulk quantity, resellers, and hobbyist retailers. The forum staff will make the final determination on what constitutes business promotion and sales.
Posting Links in Threads and Signatures: We encourage you to link to your personal web sites, band web sites, and information web sites in your threads and signatures. You agree not to post links to your own guitar and amp related business unless you are a paid advertiser. The forum staff may edit or disable signatures and posts that break this rule.
Buy and Sell At Your Own Risk: Any transaction you engage in with another member of the forum or a forum advertiser is your sole responsibility and at your own risk. MetroAmp and its employees take no responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from the use of the forum.
Additional Signature Guidelines: Please keep your signature to a reasonable size. Guidelines include no more than 5 lines of text, no more than 150 characters, or an image no larger than 500 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. The forum staff may edit or disable large signatures at our discretion in order to make reading the forum more pleasant.
Amp Safety: Building, repairing, or working on an amplifier can be dangerous and even lethal. Please take all necessary safety precautions to prevent injury, or take the amplifier to a qualified technician if you are not familiar with safety measures. You agree that the MetroAmp forum is not responsible for any injuries or damages which may arise from advice or instructions found on the forum. Moderator Decisions: In order to preserve a positive atmosphere, the forum staff will at times have to manage forum users and content. You agree to respect and abide by the decisions of the forum staff, and understand that posts and users that violate the rules will be removed at our discretion.
